Joe Walsh

My only experience with playing DND was a discord campaign with 5 people. The sessions were long boring and it took 20 minutes to get through a rotation. I didn’t really think DND was something I could get into. Then I joined a session with Joe as the DM. The difference was night and day. Sessions were planned out and ran smoothly, He’d build extremely detailed worlds and situations for us that kept the campaign exciting. The meticulous attention to detail and on the spot adjustments blow my mind!

Equal parts prepared for sessions and ready to adapt as the plans as the party goes. Always knowledgeable on how a system should run and when/where to homebrew things to better fit the table.

Joe is the GOAT!!! He is extremely committed, patient, motivated, and encouraging. 2/3 of my party were brand new to Dnd and have been playing consistently on a biweekly basis for a year and a half with full investment. He brings out the best in his party and puts intention into an immersive, meaningful experience that balances adventure, humor, stakes, and emotional connection.

I’d say Joe’s first and foremost strength is his energy. He can bounce off of players really well and roll with the punches no matter how outlandish the suggestions given to him are. He’s basically the living embodiment of “Yes, And.” He’s also a kind and patient person so he can be a pretty comforting presence at the table since you know he won’t put up with anybody’s crap nor cause any himself. I’ve known him for a few years now and I’ve loved every game we’ve played!
