James Sparshott

James has been both a player with and a DM for me the past 3 years. I cannot begin to describe the whimsy and intrigue she brings to each session — how eager she is to give me a cloak of billowing.

An amazing DM who keeps sessions player-focused, giving us lots and lots of space to make our own decisions and aid a lil in worldbuilding. Puts up with so so so much from her players (sorry). You really feel like a main character when playing with her!! Great at incorporating your PC’s backstories, too.

Lots of experience in very fun home games. A counselor at a roleplay summer camp!!! How much better can you get!!!

James is a very good Dm, every time I’ve played with them the game has felt very immersive and fun! From the storytelling to the combat, I’ve gotten a very amazing experience playing with them. They are fantastic at staying in character and make it fun to ask questions, all around I’d say they are amazing to play with!

James is amazing at storytelling and building a world in atmosphere that is immersive and inviting to players. James is really good at blending both moments of tension and seriousness with lighthearted comedy and player shenanigans in a way that feels seamless and natural. They are also very willing to breakdown rules when need be and provide good refreshers on mechanics. This has been helpful as someone who has a disability! I’ve never felt afraid to ask questions or for clarification.

James is fun to play with, happy to tell a story with you, and even willing to bend the textbook rules here and there to give player their big moment. they’re quite willing to hear out both what you want for your character, as well as your own boundaries as a player.
