Fowsic

Had lots of fun playing in a campaign he hosted! He had lots of cool lore and fun moments that made the whole thing really enjoyable. I’d looked forward to being able to play in each session thanks to that! A really great experience overall! : )!

Fowsic is, as the title says, an amazing DM! He is great at letting scenes play out, with the players leading the charge, building things themselves, all the while ensuring things don’t go too off the rails.

Fowsic’s approach allowed a fun character of mine to turn into one of my favorites, a character who will stick with me for as long as I continue to play TTRPGs. If you want a character of yours to become memorable, pick Fowsic to be your DM.

The biggest thing I’ve noticed throughout these games is that Fowsic has a seemingly intuitive way of gaging his players and curating a game based on live gameplay.

In addition to GMing, Fowsic has shown to be a good hearted person with a lot of creativity and a sense of humor and this shines through his gameplay as well both as a GM and as a player. As a player he seems heavily engaged and involved with his character and the story. To me this shows he’s gotten to understand both sides of the GM screen throughly which I’m sure helps with his work as a GM as he’d have that level of experience and understanding.

And it’s not just me who enjoys his GM work, I’ve noticed time again as players around the table excitedly play his games, trying to figure out what’s happening next and then continue the excitement even after the game’s ended, talking about the different things they’ve enjoyed.

I particularly enjoyed one of the most recent games I played of his, it had mystery and story but also playfulness and whismy that I wasn’t expecting at first. Fowsic was able to bridge the balance of darker themes and wonder well, or at least in a way I found to be enjoyable. That specific one-shot actually stuck with me and became one of my favorite D&D-type games I’ve played.

Overall, it’s clear to me that this GM doesn’t just want to tell a story, he wants to bring you along and build a legend along side you.

john is awesome. played with him for like a year or so and he was a great DM for my introduction to D&D!!

one of the best moments i remember while playing with him was seeing the despair in his eyes as i, the sorcerer, announced that i wanted to use The Funny Spell (FIREBALLLLLLL) in a 20ft wide room and then proceeded to blow up and kill everything except the other people in the party (careful spell metamagic). mwahahahaha.

John is a great DM and runs an amazing game. I’ve been part of multiple of his games and he try’s, with great success, to get every member of his party to have a good time. A mix of a great personality and story telling that I would highly recommend!
