Charlie V

I’ve been playing in Charlie’s campaigns for a few years now and in all honesty he’s my favorite DM. He always goes all out with his characters and his world building, and making interactions feel real and having genuine impact on both our characters and the NPCs. Charlie is definitely a good DM if you want a heavily story focused game and meaningful moments.

Been playing with Charlie for awhile, and its always the highlight of my week! My personal favorite thing is how they set a scene or evoke a mood for scenes, multiple times they’ve left me and the party stunned. Its hard to tell when they’ve preplanned something or they’ve just improvised something fun to do on the fly, and I mean that as a compliment. I’ve never seen a scene of theirs fall flat in all my time playing.

They’re also really good with getting everyone engaged, even on days where I’m less talkative, they’re able to keep me involved with the story. As long as you communicate your needs with them they’re very accommodating in my experience.

I have been playing TTRPGs for years and WOW! Every part of the game was fantastic. The NPCs felt real and the world had so much depth. We got to learn a lot about the world but it still felt overarching in the way that so much was going on behind the scenes. That made it feel real that without character interaction the world still continued to function. We had plenty of time for RP, lots of puzzles, interesting combat and villains and a story that was easy to get invested in. All the characters had unique parts of the world and story tailored to them. I am so excited to play in their future games and I highly recommend them as a DM.

Very good at getting the group into a good mood. Good at tangents but doesn’t rely on them. Very good at making the players feel powerful but not making the combats lopsided in either favor.

I’ve been playing with Charlie for over 4 or 5 years at this point, if not longer, and can say that they are an amazing DM who loves to immerse everyone in the world. The campaigns that they run always have a fun setting that has obviously been thought out very thoroughly to include many different lore aspects and avenues for the players should they choose to explore them. Whether it be exploring a random town, or encountering important characters, each moment feels like something that you are glad to be a part of in some way.

They also explore the depths of character growth and backstory with each party member if given the chance and proper backing. I have had several of my own characters change and develop along the course of the game in ways that I never thought of when creating them and their stories, enjoying the opportunities provided to me, especially when they willingly indulged my own guilty pleasure of betrayal and even encouraged it as it helped push the story along in interesting ways each time.

Charlie themselves, even outside of proper session moments or time, is a delight to be around given their energy and ideas that they can provide to any group. No matter the situation, they provide a sunny disposition that makes myself and many others we play with laugh or simply enjoy playing in campaigns with them, whether as fellow players or with them as DM.
