Excellent DM

May 10, 2024

Piper is one of the best DMs I’ve played with. Their extensive knowledge of DnD extends well beyond the written rules of the game. Not only can they juggle complex homebrew storylines, they also have the talent of balancing out and managing their players.

The love of the game

May 10, 2024

They were my first introduction to DND and made me love the game. They’ve never judged me when I asked seemingly stupid questions, and always helped me when I needed it. To this day, I go to them for advice on character builds even for games they aren’t involved in. They have such an in-depth knowledge of the lore and game mechanics that makes it really helpful for those starting out and for veteran players as well. A game with them is never boring.

Masterful Story-telling

I have played in numerous of their one-shots, one long-term campaign, and am currently in another sequel campaign that they ran. It is unbelievably rare to see someone as creative and talented at writing such detailed lore and multifaceted characters. In each session I’ve been with them, they manage to masterfully craft a story that weaves together the individual players’ characters and backgrounds. They also create such a fantastically welcoming and humorous environment for everyone involved.

Lathander's Light

I’ve had many D&D sessions over the years since I started playing the game, but I still remember the excitement and experience of starting Curse of Strahd as a Grave Cleric with this GM. They dedicate an outrageous amount of time and effort to worldbuilding, character writing, and storytelling as both a GM and a player. Regardless of whether it’s a pre-created module or a homebrew setting, I’ve never had an experience where they weren’t willing to adapt to ensure everyone had a fun and satisfying experience. I’ve had the joy of exploring all kinds of TTRPGs with this GM and I would encourage everyone to grab a seat at their table.

My Introduction to D&D

May 9, 2024

I first received a text asking if I wanted to try Dungeons and Dragons some 6 or 7 years ago. At the time, I knew nothing about the game and just thought it would be a chance to try something new with an old friend. Now, D&D is one of my main hobbies, and I still play in games with them today, both as a GM and a player. Their love for the game is obvious. They take great care in world building, even if they’re just expanding on a premade setting. Each player gets their backstory worked into the world with a chance to explore their character’s motivations. As a dear friend and long time player, I highly recommend them as a GM.
