About the Game

Session Length: 2.5 -
3 hours

Lost for centuries, the Tomb of the Iron King beckons, whispering of ancient tyrants and treasures to be taken. Foolish or brave, who can say, for no one returns from the depths of the moldering tomb.

This one-shot is designed for 3-6 first level adventurers, who will delve deep into the haunted tomb of the Iron King. Please be aware this game will use the vanilla Dungeons & Dragons 5e (2014) rules. This is a Learn To Play (LTP), so don’t worry if you have no experience; I will be going over the rules, dice, and more!

The following will be provided:

  • Pre-generated character sheets (please contact me if you would like to use your own)
  • A cheat-sheet for assistance
  • Dice, pencils, minis, and more to make the game immersive!

Please note that communication regarding the game will be via email.

Please note: RGM does not provide refunds nor do we allow transfers for one shot events.

Parental Responsibility Notice

Parents/Guardians must be present at the end of the game to pick up their child. Each game has a 30-minute ending window, meaning it may conclude at any time within that range. RGM and the venue are not responsible or liable for any child left unattended due to late pickup.

If you anticipate being late, it is your responsibility to contact the Game Master in advance and request that they remain with your child. Please note, it is at the Game Master’s discretion whether they choose to wait.

About the Game Master

Welcome, adventurer, and thanks for visiting! I’m The Painted Bugbear, or better known as Al! I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons 5e since 2014 and started as a Dungeon Master in 2015, slowly expanding into other games such as Monster of the Week, 10 Candles, and Perils & Princesses, as well as some zanier ones like Cracker Barrel Has Fallen, Goblin Prom, and 3 Raccoons in a Trenchcoat! I’ve also served as a professional Game Master at Gen Con since 2025!

I love crafting stories and telling tales with others while being goofy and having fun, and I hope to bring that energy to your table! I pride myself in providing an engaging and entertaining experience, especially for those that are new to tabletop games, so please don’t hesitate to jump in if you’ve never played before. I can offer several games ranging from one-shots to full campaigns!

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are important to me in my stories and at my table, meaning that I will make sure to do my best to provide a comfortable setting for all in attendance and will not tolerate discrimination. I also do not allow generative artificial intelligence at my table; if you need assistance coming up with a backstory or character art, please feel free to reach out to me rather than a bot!
