With over 20 years of experience this game is a great game for a first time player as I am willing to help them learn the game, I will warn you that the lands are cursed.
Barovia was a land wrapped in eternal mist, where the sun never shone and the air felt thick with a quiet sadness. The people lived in silence, their lives weighed down by an unseen force. They had forgotten what joy truly felt like, existing only to survive. In the town of Vallaki, the stone buildings sagged, and the streets were deserted except for the occasional figure passing in haste.
There was no ruler here—no tyrant, no dark lord. There was only the land itself, cursed, as old as the fog that crept over it. Whispers told of a time when Barovia was not so bleak, but such stories seemed distant, like fragments of a dream that had long faded.
Beyond the town, the forest stretched on endlessly, dark and foreboding. Creatures roamed within it, but none dared to venture too far. The trees, twisted and gnarled, seemed to lean in toward the path, their branches creaking as though they had stories to tell but couldn’t remember the words.
Barovia was a place forgotten by time, a land where no cure could be found, and the darkness would endure forever.
The story this far.
The party have been beset by troubles ever since they entered the cursed lands of Barovia and have come face to face with an Evil that makes Strahd look like a petulant child. This evil is so great that old wounds are being sealed simply for an alliance against a threat which wishes to make the lands of Barovia a ruin like the once great capital has become. A new battlefield in a war against a Necromancer, unites Hags, Vampires, and Lycans under a common banner carried by those who walk a path few dare to tread. Are you brave enough to bear the banner?
Party is lvl 8 and this is well suited for players who wish to do higher lvl gameplay and enjoy a land where Death himself lurks around every corner.
