You awake in a vast, storm-lashed castle—marked by a creeping vampiric curse. Midnight approaches, and when the final bell tolls the Count will hunt you himself. Your only hope is to explore, survive, and escape before time runs out.

Real-time tension: The in-game clock is tied to real-world time. About 45 mins before the end of the game the Count will appear whether you are prepared or not.

Progressive vampirism: Use dark powers at the cost of your own humanity.

Thanks for your interest in our One-Shot event at Voodoo Brewing in VA Beach! Doors open at noon and the game starts at 12:30pm. This game includes:

- Ready to use miniatures and dice so you don’t need to bring anything except your imagination!
New to ShadowDark? No worries. It is easy to pick up and uses all the same troupes found in D&D. Here are some key changes to note:
- Torch light is a must. Players characters DO NOT have darkvision only the monsters. Torches also last 1 hour of real world time.
- The advantage/disadvantage system is present in ShadowDark under certain circumstances.
- Damage from weapons is always flat and most modifier bonuses go to hitting monsters.
- Spellcasting is a simple roll to see if the spell goes off. If it does you can cast it again as long as you can make the check.
