A night like this comes only once a generation
Westruun is a city on the brink of great change. It has been nine years since a group of adventurers defeated the great wyrm Umbrasyl, the Hope Devourer, freeing the city from his dark reign. Yet in that vacuum, a new tyrant emerged to lead the city. Margrave Zimmerset has endeavored to bind the city to his will in these past years, but his power is weakening in the face of growing popular opposition. In a rare moment of unity, the pragmatic Clasp syndicate and the revolutionary Red Cloaks have come to strike a blow against the Margrave and prove his power broken once and for all. This very evening the Margrave is holding a grand ball at his fortified estate, providing a rare opportunity for infiltration. The objective: steal the very Shield of Westruun, a powerful artifact and symbol of ancient authority. For tonight, great change is possible for those bold enough to seize it.
That’s where you come in.
