An intrigue-laden mystery in the smog-choked heart of an magical-industrial city.
In the smog-choked city of Cinderlock, industry and invention drive the realm’s greatest empire of magical weapons and arcane machinery. The city’s power rests in the hands of three leaders—High Magistrate Keyra Korrin, Commander Selra Vann, and Lady Marcella Volante—together they maintain a fragile balance of power that keeps the city in check—though cracks are beginning to show.
But that balance is fracturing. Citizens are vanishing, fear spreads through the streets, and dark rumors stir beneath the clang of iron and the hiss of steam. Commander Vann, wary of treachery within her own ranks, turns to outsiders—the adventurers—to uncover the truth. She asks them to investigate the vanishings on her behalf. After accepting her request, she arranges a clandestine meeting at midnight in an old lanternmaker’s shop, Glassfire & Co., where she intends to speak with them in secret.
What secrets are worth killing for in a city built on invention and greed?
And when the truth finally surfaces… will Cinderlock burn from within?
Although geared towards beginners, all levels of experience with Dungeons and Dragons are welcome!. I will be providing pregen 3rd level characters, though you are welcome to roll up your own character ahead of time. I will also have plenty of dice if you don’t have any! The only thing I ask that you may want to bring is maybe some paper and pencils if you’d like to take notes. Our venue, Setting Sun will have some drinks and snacks for purchase but they allow outside food so feel free to bring your own dinner to the venue if you’d like.
